Minnesota FFA Publication

The annual Minnesota FFA Foundation Publication summarizes the year in Minnesota FFA. Each year, a student is selected to work with the lead editor and design service to create the annual magazine. In 2020, I served as the student editor for the publication with duties including: 

  • Writing the feature story of the magazine

  • Writing short award descriptions

  • Design input

  • Grammatical edits after article submissions from authors

  • Final edits and proofing of the publication

A2 Ice Cream Marketing Plan 

This marketing plan was a project conducted in AECM 4444: Food and Agriculture Marketing Campaigns. Through the course of this class, the team worked together to: 

  • Create a mock product

  • Conduct market research to determine target audience

  • Survey target audience for preferences

  • Analyze survey data to best accommodate consumer preferences

  • Complete product design, merchandise and promotional material design

  • Formulate a plan of action for product launch

The Enthusiast

The Enthusiast is the semi-annual newsletter of the University of Minnesota's Agricultural Education, Communication, & Marketing Department. During my time as the Communications Assistant in the department, I was tasked with co-editing the newsletter.

The role of co-editor included:

  • Brainstorming Article Ideas

  • Contacting/Interviewing Potential Subjects

  • Contacting and Pitching Ideas to Guest Writers

  • Editing Content for Readability and Grammar

  • Designing Layout Using Canva

  • Assembling and Proofing the Final Newsletter
