Hey there! I'm Val, and I want to welcome you to my site. 

I grew up on a Minnesota dairy farm and I began my livestock show career at age three with my first calf, Night-Night. Since then, I fell in love with showing, and it led me further into the world of agriculture. I may have moved to the big city for school, but my heart lies in the agricultural community I call home.

Right now, I'm at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, studying Agricultural Communication & Marketing with the hopes of using my future career to tell the story of agriculture, connecting consumers to the farmers behind their food supply.

I have a passion for telling stories through media, and while I know there's always more to learn, I'm focused on improving my skills and creative eye. This website is a work in progress, but the posts here are a sample of what I can do, what I'm learning, and how I hope I can help you reach your goals in storytelling and communication.
